I am most proud of my double exposure photograph.  I took the photo of the person (my word was anger) and Allison took the photo of the trees (her word was trees). I think they way that the photos are layered is visually interesting because the trees on the right of his head appear to be caused by the finger gun that he is putting to his head. This was completely accidental, but sometimes the best artwork comes from accidents. The idea behind this photo completely changed once both exposures were together. Before, it was just about anger and sarcastically putting a finger gun to your head, which some people do when they are feeling mad or frustrated. With the trees, the idea becomes much more serious, hinting at serious topics like suicide and depression. I like the way it turned out and how the meaning changed.

This photograph represents me because these were my favorite toys when I was younger. This photo was for the nostalgic word of the week and I definitely think that this photo encapsulates my own nostalgia. These toys bring back memories of my old friend Loren who also loved these toys and memories of my childhood in general. I think these toys fueled my desire to be a vet when I was younger. Even though I want to be a graphic designer now, I still love animals. It's interesting how much these toys affected my life and my interests. The photograph represents my childhood and me as a person at the same time.
